Romantic Comedy is more likely my favorite genre. It’s safe to watch. There’s romance and comedy – makes me fall in love and makes me laugh – really safe. I’ve watched a lot since I began my addiction but here’s a list of my top romcom korean dramas…

Jung Saet Byul actually likes Choi Dae Hyun since they met 3 years ago. She was still a bad-ass highschool student back then and now that she is in college, she needs a part-time job and tries to work for the person that she has a crush on.

A South Korean heiress crash landed in North Korea after a paragliding accident. There she met a North Korean captain who tried to help her get back to her country safely. But in a short time they spent together, a beautiful love story started.

A very heartfelt story about a single mum who starts her life all over at a small town and opened a bar Camellia. There she meets a young constable who is persistent in winning her heart.

Woo Seo Ri fell into coma after meeting an accident then woke up 13 years later. She went home to her house but found out it was already owned by Gong Woo Jin’s family. Would she be able to live again in that house? Such a clean and cute love story!
The Undateables – rated 7.5 stars

Jung Eum is a matchmaker but had a difficult task of matchmaking some undateables. Lucky she meets a love guru who is willing to help her out in exchange for a toy he lost a long time ago. Are these a match themselves?

What happens if you’ve pretended as a robot to the man that you fell in love? Ji Ah has to pretend to be Aji 3, a robot, to Kim Min Kyu. While spending time with each other, they developed a mutual affection towards each other.

These two bestfriends are both tough and funny. After failed relationships, they both found themselves falling in love with each other.

Noh Ji Wook is a prosecutor who lost his position for helping a former lawyer intern, Eun Bong Hee acquitted from her case of killing her boyfriend, son of the District Attorney. The two then work together run a private law firm and get to defend a guy who would be the answer to all puzzles and capturing him would put everything back in place. “Lawyers in action!”

with Park Bo Young & Park Hyung Sik
Super strong woman Do Bong Soon is long lost heroine of our CEO Min Min and she seems to be doing fine being his current heroine as well. Funny with some serious mystery solving.
The Legend of the Blue Sea rated 8.5 stars
with Jun Ji Hyun & Lee Min Ho
Mermaid Shim Chung is looking for a guy who could love her so she can stay on land forever. The task seems to be hard if the guy is busy trying to survive himself. But if it’s destiny, it will happen.
My Secret Romance – rated 7.5 stars
with Sung Hoon & Song Ji Eun
One-night stand turned serious after a couple of years. Our sexy director Jin Wook just doesn’t forget Lee Yoo Mi’s pretty face. But do they have a future together? Maybe Lee Yoo Mi’s cooking will contribute a bit.
Cinderella and Four Knights – rated 7.5 stars
with Jung Il Woo, Ahn Jae Hyun & Park So Dam
Being surrounded by these gorgeous knights is exhilarating! Our cinderella barely has a competition because they’re all confined in this ludicrous mansion called the Sky House. There’s only one to pick though and that’s her true love ;).

The tandem of a popular training instructor and a chubby lawyer is not something to be missed especially when these 2 are the sexy So Ji Sub and the pretty Shin Min Ah. Of course it shows a lot of sexiness and prettiness in a funny way.
She Was Pretty – rated 7.5 stars
with Hwang Jung Eum and Park Seo Joon
It’s always funny whenever Hwang Jung Eum is around. Though her leading man here is not that strong, we’ve got Shi Won from Super Junior who saved the show with his looks and a role that is quite entertaining.

A documentary kind of drama following people who work in the entertainment industry as producers and artists. We’ve got Kim So Hyun in the house taking the role of a naive producer-to-be.
Sensory Couple – rated 7.5 stars
with Yoochun and Shin Se kyung
This couple rocks in solving crimes together. With the skill of our leading lady to see smell, she’s a great help to our detective lead. Funny with a tinge of mystery.
Kill Me, Heal Me – rated 10 stars
with Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum
One of my top favorites, not just among romcoms but among all kdramas I’ve watched so far. Ji Sung in his best elements, great story, chemistry, unexpected twists, great ending, this drama has it all.
Fated to Love You – rated 9 stars
with Jang Hyuk and Jang Na Ra
My top drama for year 2014! Gorgeous leads especially my favorite leading man, Jang Hyuk taking the role of a rich heir who had a one-night affair with someone he doesn’t even know. Funny, addictive, full of eye-candies and has a pleasing ending.
Cunning Single Lady – rated 7.5 stars
with Lee Min Jung and Joo Sang Wook
It’s hard if you dump your guy and he becomes a successful founder of an app. Not just that, he becomes sexy-looking as well. As you see, our lady here is trying to seduce that guy back. Funny and romantic, just our typical romcom.
My Secret Hotel – rated 7.5 stars
with Yoo In Na & Nam Goong Min
After her failed marriage in Las Vegas, Nam Sang Hyo got back on her feet working as a wedding planner for the wedding department of Secret Hotel, a well known hotel in Korea. She unfortunately bumped into his ex-husband who was a groom-to-be to a wealthy heir and an important client of the hotel.
I Hear Your Voice – rated 8 stars
with Lee Bo Young and Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk has so much going on that he could even pair the talented, beautiful and older Lee Bo Young. Their chemistry was surprisingly good! He took the role of a student who could see what one is thinking and crossed path with our lady lawyer.
You Who Came from the Stars – rated 9 stars
with Jeon Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun
Such an interesting story! A gorgeous alien landed on earth, met his lady love in the Joseon past and finally meeting her again in the present, of course as a gorgeous actress. It involves time-travel and it’s one of the best romantic comedies.
Pretty Man – rated 8 stars
with Jang Geun Suk and IU
Our pretty Jang Geun Suk in yet another pretty drama, paired with the equally pretty and cute IU. It might be pretty and all but this drama has more depth than I thought. Definitely funny with a good story to boot.
The Master’s Sun – rated 8 stars
with So Ji Sub and Gong Hyo Jin
Sexy and funny! And slightly scary but still funny. Gong Hyo Jin in her hilarious role as someone who could see ghosts. Through that, she meets the gorgeous So Ji Sub who needs some help with ghost problems.
Queen In Hyun’s Man – rated 8 stars
with Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na
The love story across times! A scholar in the Joseon era found a way to get to the present and met the love of his life. Brace yourself for some cheesy lines and funny dialogues. Chemistry between the leads is so good they ended up dating in real life.
Cheongdamdong Alice – rated 7.5 stars
with Park Shi Hoo and Moon Geun Young
Lies and more lies but this drama ended up surprisingly good. We have our girl who tries her luck working in the rich area Cheongdamdong hoping to grab herself a rich boyfriend.
A Gentleman’s Dignity – rated 7.5 stars
with Jang Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul
Our 4 gentlemen and how they struggle with their relationship with the ladies at their age. Funny with some cute moments. Good-looking cast and great styling and outfits.
Rooftop Prince – rated 9 stars
with Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min
Hilariously entertaining story of a Joseon prince who was brought to the present time to solve a mystery. He wasn’t of course alone, he came with his totally ignorant (of the present) entourage.
Wild Romance – rated 7 stars
with Lee Dong Wook & Lee Si Young
This lady bodyguard has to protect a popular baseball player from any stalker, but she grows fond of him everyday she works for him.
with Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan
Our girl marries a chaebol and it’s all a lie. He agreed to it since he profits from that lie too. And guess what, this whole lie thing just brought these 2 closer to one another.
The Greatest Love – rated 8 stars
with Gong Hyo Jin and Cha Seung Won
One of my favorites! The chemistry between the leads was just top. It’s a story about a former member of a girl group who is trying to have a comeback and bumped into a cocky but very popular actor.
Heartstrings – rated 7.5 stars
with Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye
Imagine if your rockstar, hearthrob crush from school starts showing interest in you. A big yay! But of course just after he got dumped by his long time crush. Nay! This is another school, teenie romance to enjoy plus good music too.
Secret Garden – rated 10 stars
One of the 2 kdramas that got a perfect 10 rating. Love everything about it! This is all about our very rich guy meets poor girl and with a strange fate, their bodies swapped. Funny, romantic with a good amount of drama.
Mary Stayed Out All Night – rated 7.5 stars
with Moon Geun Young and Jang Geun Suk
Our girl stays by the side of her not so popular musician boyfriend inspite the chance of dating a handsome, young businessman.
You’re Beautiful – rated 7 stars
with Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye
I couldn’t help but fangirl these cute boys from ANJELL idol group. Of course except for one, our girl who pretends to be a boy to replace her twin brother. It’s fun to follow the lives of these idols, the drama behind the fame and how they get over the fact that they’re all not boys!

A spoiled brat, rich young lady is doing whatever she likes but had to deal with his persistent bodyguard.

Dream High is a school for all those who are determined to succeed in the music industry. You learn everything, sacrifice some things and work hard to be the next superstar. So, do you think you’ve got what it takes?
Flower Boy Next Door – rated 7.5 stars

We have our shy girl here whose surrounded by not just one but some flower boys in her neighborhood. Is she gonna come out of her hiding place? The comics effect on this drama adds to its cuteness.
Mischievous Kiss – rated 7 stars
with Kim Hyun Joong and Jung So Min
I would say there was a big imbalance in the distribution of beauty among leads here. Kim Hyun Joong was way prettier than our girl but well he was the subject of her affection, he better be. School setting, prettiest boy is around and our girl is drooling over him. Hm…
Boys Over Flowers – rated 9 stars
with Koo Hye Sun and Lee Min Ho
Okay, this got to be my favorite and the reason why I’m here addicted to kdramas. Well, who shouldn’t be when all these rich and gorgeous boys are all over our poor girl Jandi. There was that “I have to switch to Jandi or I have to imagine being Jandi moments” for me and surely for all you girls out there too :).

The Vineyard Man – rated 8.5 stars
with Oh Man Suk and Yoon Eun Hye
This drama proves that it’s not just rich guys could capture your heart. Meet our farmer who has to deal with a city girl who came to learn about farming. Chemistry is top in a countryside setting.

Cute and funny story of a girl who works as a guide in Jeju, bumped into a rich guy who owns a mandarin farm and hotels. She got into a mess when she accepted a deal to lie as the lost granddaughter of his wealthy grandmother.

A heartbroken Kim Sam Soon found a new love and he is just a nobody but a CEO of a big company. Everything was fine until his first love came back home.
