Terius Behind Me kdramaSummary: A former NIS agent, Terius, who is in hiding is trying to shed light to his failed operation in Poland years ago. In order to connect the dots, he approaches his neighbour Go Ae Rin whose husband’s murder is related to the case he is investigating. Terius becomes the babysitter of Ae Rin twin kids.

Trailer: Terius Behind Me

Genre: Romance, Action, Mystery
Episodes: 32 (35 minutes/episode)
Stars: So Ji Sub as Kim Bon / Terius
Jung In Sun as Go Ae Rin
Son Ho Joon as Jin Yong Tae
Im Se Mi as Yoo Ji Yeon

Likes: You can never go wrong with an action-filled, mission impossible-like and, cute and funny drama with the (still) hot and sexy So Ji Sub. Love the action scenes, the cool cars, the cool agents in their cool black suits, even the villains are cool and the cool mums (with one dad) in the neighbourhood! Nothing serious like James Bond or Ethan Hawke but our protagonist, Kim Bon alias TERIUS is as cool and even has soft spot for kids, in other words, a good babysitter! A very lovable character.

So Ji Sub as Kim Bon / Terius – secret agent suits him well. He looked great and sexy in black suit and even hotter driving those cool cars. And he’s the total charmer when he’s with kids!

Jung In Sun as Go Ae Rin – very natural acting as a mum of twins. The bubbly character looked like an easy task for her. Although, I was missing the romantic scenes between her and Kim Bon, she would have had a really good chemistry with her leading man.

Son Ho Joon as Jin Yong Tae – I love this guy. Very natural as well. Funny even without exerting much effort. I love the bromance between him and So Ji Sub. They looked like a great team.

It might not be a new story but there was an obvious effort on it. The mystery that surrounded the whole story was complex. It involved a lot of people, a lot of props and I’m sure a big budget to bring the entire set to Poland. The latter, was an awesome choice for a mission impossible set. But even the local sets and scenes were impressive like the car chase with the bridge scene where our cool Terius jumped off.

Ae Rin’s twins are awesome! Great actors in such a young age! They were so relaxed and sweet especially with the main character. That nose to nose greeting was sooo cute!

The feisty mums and a dad group also known as KIS (Kingcastle Information System). was hilarious but a great support. Everyone has special traits as well as flaws but they always look after each other.

I was rooting for the budding love between Yoo Ji Yeon and Ra Do Woo. They just look cute together :-).

Some cameos but my favourite was Yoon Sang Hyun as the surgeon brother of the lady agent, Yoo Ji Yeon. He’s always very chatty which is his trademark and always liked him for that.

Was curious about that music Terius was always playing on disc. It’s Norah Jones’ Sleepless Nights! Awesome voice!

The Mojito Ending! I love it! No romance but hints of possible ones which is good enough considering the background of the main characters. Also there were hints of future impossible missions together so all good!

Dislikes: Flooded with ad placement like the very obvious Tifanny & Co, Rosa K  and Quiznos. Although the writer tried hard to integrate Rosa K (those bags) in the story, it would have been okay without them at all.

My Rating: 8 stars! (10 as highest)

oh my venus kdramaSummary: Kang Joo Eun, a lawyer who’s on the heavy side due to her hypothyroidism met famous personal trainer of star Kim Young Ho on the flight from the US back to Korea. She took the chance to get help from him in order to lose some weight especially after her breakup with her long-time boyfriend. Working with her coach was finding more about him; his past and his current responsibility as the heir of Gahong group.

Genre: Romantic Comedy
Episodes: 16
Stars: So Ji Sub as Kim Young Ho
Shin Min Ah as Kang Joo Eun
Jung Gyu Woon as Im Woo Shik
Yoo In Young as Oh Soo Jin

Likes:  It’s good to see another romantic comedy with big stars like So Ji Sub and Shin Min Ah. They looked great together! Shin Min Ah’s character Kang Joo Eun was funny and easy. She always tried to stay positive and worked hard for everything.  On the other hand, So Ji Sub’s character Kim Young Ho was very serious and his way of life was strict discipline and planning. It’s good to see these 2 main characters complement each other. Furthermore, the chemistry between the two was undoubtedly strong. They were so comfortable with each other. It’s cute to see the girl being more aggressive and flirty then the guy being more reserved.

Those fatty masks were so well done especially Oh Soo Jin’s! I think the girls were so cute looking chubby. Chubby Kang Joo Eun was very cute though she lost that pretty dimple.

Epic meeting at the police station! I enjoyed this part very much. Ex-boyfriend protecting his ex-girlfriend, ex-boyfriend’s current girl came to a rescue, ex-girlfriend’s future boyfriend came to testify. It was so twisted, it was awesome.

These drama has lots of great moments. Let’s take a look at my favorites…

  • The umbrella-kiss moment – so that was Kim Young Ho’s taste of life. As coffee with cream to the chubby Kang Joo Eun.
  • Meeting coachinim at Ayang Bridge moment – girl running towards sexy coach waiting with open arms!
  • Boarding-departure moments – when one escapes one’s world, off to the other’s.
  • Sexy moments – we get lots of these when our 2 main leads are oozing with sexiness.
  • Pat-pat moments – letting go.
  • Meeting the family moments – awkward!
  • Proposal moment – our Kim Young Ho pulled a great proposal his girl truly deserved.

Supporting cast is awesome! Starting with the supporting leads, they were the main leads’ serious competition. Im Woo Shik and Oh Soo Jin can actually do a spin off. Other characters who made good impression were Snake and Ji Woong (truly Hyungs), Snake’s persistent girl, chairwoman/grandma who was always looking fierce, Young Ho’s assistant who always looked stiff but best supporting actor award, I’m giving it to the angry uncle-in-law!

Leading man in this drama is definitely the total dream guy! Trainer of Stars (given to have a sexy body), heir to Gahong group (rich boy), can do DIY treatment (a doctor), very helpful of others in need (a savior), can knit (a pink scarf for his girl) and last but not the least, can pull off an awesome proposal (lucky girl).

Ending with a promising wedding and short epilogue revealing an extravagant gift for grandma!

Dislikes: The leading men’s outfit especially the suits are not so impressive. Young Ho’s were always looking to big for him and had too much padding, he looked like an asthmatic person. Woo Shik’s suit prints were such eye sores!

So Ji Sub looks too thin, too tired and too pale in this drama. Far from the very sexy So Ji Sub in The Master’s Sun. He’s still sexy but not as sexy.

Awkward family meeting. Kang Joo Eun overdid it during her first family visit. They just could have omitted that part. It was too painful to watch.

Last episode was just lots of flashbacks!

My Rating: 8 stars! (10 as highest)

the master's sun kdramaSummary: A girl who can see ghosts found shelter from a powerful, rich and good-looking CEO. She grabbed the chance of staying by his side when he needed someone to talk to his dead ex-girlfriend.

Genre: Romantic Comedy, Fantasy, Horror
Episodes: 16
Stars: So Ji Sub as Joo Joong Won
Gong Hyo Jin as Tae Gong Sil / Tae-yang
Seo In Guk as Kang Woo
Kim Yoo Ri as Tae Yi Ryung

Likes: My first horror-comedy kdrama and I love it! It was scary at first – it just shows how good the makeup was – but it was enjoyable to watch every episode ending with a solution to every ghost problem :)!

I love every ghost story! It begins with a freaky intro and ends up very funny!

I love Gong Hyo Gin! She always pick a good drama. I hope to see more from her!

Lots of pretty faces! Special mention to So Ji Sub and Kim Yoo Ri – she’s a doll!

I love the leads! It reminds me a lot of The Greatest Love!

Dislikes: As I’ve mentioned above, this drama reminds me of The Greatest Love because of the leads but So Ji Sub, as handsome as he is, didn’t get close to the charisma and sexiness of Cha Seung Won! Anyway…

Due to popularity, they made it 17 episodes. Really, there was no need! It just made episodes 15 and 16 redundant!

My Rating: 8 stars! (10 as highest)
