Likes: A totally wonderful fantasy drama with countless beautiful scenes! Aside from its remarkable fantasy genre, the writer made a perfect balance of melodrama and comedy in one – really, a job well done! Expect to cry, laugh, fall in love and be in awe when watching it.
Beautiful scenes and sets. From the wonderful world of Goryeo kingdom, beautiful autumn scenes of Quebec, mystical Goblin’s secret garden to the classy interior of the Goblin’s house, the creators of this drama obviously put an effort on the details of the sets.
Fantastic story. Romanticizing the legend of the Goblin except that our Goblin is a very handsome man who doesn’t age but is stuck with a curse to live forever and see everyone dies. Of course our Goblin finds the love of his life but has to stick to having that curse – he will have to see her love go. Sounds sad, isn’t it? But it isn’t. That’s the one making this drama fantastic. The creators manage to give us hope without being too corny.
Remarkable characters. Everyone here has a story and is following their fate but everyone’s fate is intricately intertwined. In the end, past life or next, everyone is still very much connected. Moreover, I love the combination of Goblin and Grim reaper. They totally made a great team. And I love that these characters are not really grim but charming and funny. I thought it was a brilliant idea!
The love teams. We have 2 great love teams here and not to forget with very important backgrounds.
Kim Shin & Ji Eun Tak – cute and giggle-worthy! This team brought happy and adventurous memories. I love how they spend their precious time together. The kiss scenes were great, I would rate it 8 out of 10 :).
Wang Yeo & Sunny – funny, sexy but sad! These 2 brought out lots of funny conversations and meetings. They also have an incredible chemistry. The kiss scene, though sad, I would rate it 9 out of 10!
The beautiful cast. Everyone’s good looking in this drama but I’ll focus on the main cast. Here I go…
Gong Yoo – finally my man is back!!! And his more handsome than his Coffee Prince days! Tall, gorgeous even with his sad Goblin’s face.
Kim Go Eun – first time to see her in a drama and I think she’s a natural. I like her cute acting, she never overdid it. She was likeable throughout the drama.
Lee Dong Wook – actually surprised to see him in a supporting role but after watching the drama, I understand why he took it. Also tall and handsome, and his role as grim reaper made him look mysterious.
Yoo In Na – super sexy as usual, flirty in a good way and very natural in acting.
The scary ghosts. They were everywhere as Ji Eun Tak could see them but the scariest of them all is Park Joong Won. He was the ultimate villain here!
The heart-warming OST. Beautiful tracks accompanying lovely, memorable, thrilling and even sad scenes of this drama. Worth checking out!
2 Bonus Scenes. Just add-ons really.
- I thought the cinema scene was hilarious where our two main characters were watching “Train to Busan”, a horror movie with Gong Yoo in it :).
- That scene when the Goblin and the Grim reaper made a mysterious catwalk after buying spring onions then greeting the viewers Happy New Year!
Sad but beautiful ending. I’m glad that the writers were true to the story. I had fully accepted the impending sad fate of the characters but I’m glad that it still ended beautifully. I thought it couldn’t have ended as beautiful as that. Bravo for a drama well done!
Dislikes: Minor thing but still worth mentioning. A lot of you might have not noticed it but I did. I just dislike the Subway and Tag Heuer not too well integrated product placements.
Summary: After her failed marriage in Las Vegas, Nam Sang Hyo got back on her feet working as a wedding planner for the wedding department of Secret Hotel, a well known hotel in Korea. She unfortunately bumped into his ex-husband who was a groom-to-be to a wealthy heir and an important client of the hotel. She herself was hopeful to find love again in the person of her very good-looking boss.
Genre: Romantic Comedy, Mystery
Stars: Yoo In Na as Nam Sang Hyo
Nam Goong Min as Jo Sung Gyum
Jin Yi Han as Goo Hae Young
Lee Young Eun as Yeo Eun Joo
Likes: Though the intriguing background of the love between Nam Sang Hyo and her ex Goo Hae Young was promising, it was the thrilling case of murder that definitely captured my attention. And it did till the end. The secret was unfolding slowly and carefully without giving a hint that could spoil it. At the end, you would say, ahh that’s why. I love this murder-solving case in a drama, it reminds me of a Japanese movie called The Murder of the Inugami clan.
Among the 2 guys, I would definitely go for Jo Sung Gyum. He was too handsome, rich, smart and yeah, the body, too sexy! Such a waste he didn’t end up with our girl.
I thought the competition between Nam Sang Hyo and Yeo Eun Jo fighting over their handsome boss was funny and understandable considering the guy was such a great catch.
Dislikes: I so love Jin Yi Han in Empress Ki, reason why I watched this drama but unfortunately I don’t like
his character here. He was just way too annoying and yeah such a jerk. Though the writer tried to save that annoying character by throwing some flashbacks, the damage had been done. He was just too dislikeable.
Since Nam Sang Hyo ended up with her jerk of a husband and how trying hard the writer had to bend the story line so these 2 would be together, the love story part of this drama became unbearable.

Stars: Jeon Ji Hyun as Chun Song Yi
Kim Soo Hyun as Do Min Joon
Park Hae Jin as Lee Hwi Kyung
Yoo In Na as Yoo Se Mi
Likes: Alien story is hot this year because of Kim Soo Hyun! Can’t get enough of this guy. He needs to do at least 2 dramas in a year!
Of course alien sounds bizarre for a kdrama theme but wait until our handsome alien shows off his power…teleporting seems to be his specialty! But that also includes controlling objects and staying young for hundred of years! Isn’t it impressive ladies?!
I love Chun Song Yi, she’s funny and bubbly! She was most funny whenever she would say something in English! I think she even upstaged Do Min Joon’s sarcastically funny character. In the end I love them both!
Do Min Joon’s interview in between scenes was a nice add up. It gives you that secure feeling that whatever the couple is going through in that very episode, it will turn out alright in the end. Or did it, really?
I love the music! It made the scenes more exciting.
Jeon Ji Hyun is perfect for the role, she was just great! Park Hae Jin is handsome! Well, someone’s got to compete with Kim Soo Hyun! And it was good to see Yoo In Na again after Queen In Hyun’s Man!
Favorite scenes: when he used his power to drag her back flying into his arms and kissed her (it was like wrist-grab alien style), when he froze time to kiss her goodbye, when he overheated after they kissed for the first time, when he teleported and froze time just to delete a text message he didn’t mean to send her (well, he actually meant it, just embarassed to acknowledge), when she got a bit crazy after they broke up, that ET moment with her brother, when he teleported to a deserted place which looked like Jeju and of course that awesome red carpet moment!
I love the ending! If she was perfectly happy so do I.
Dislikes: I just had that feeling that it wasn’t mean to be 21 episode long. It got a bit draggy towards the end. Were they trying to stretch it because of its popularity? They really shouldn’t do that.
I want more of Kim Soo Hyun! This was more of a KSH teaser.

Stars: Ji Hyun Woo as Gim Boong Do
Yoo In Na as Choi Hee Jin
Kim Jin Woo as Han Dong Min
Ga Deuk Hi as Jo Soo Kyung
Park Young Rin as Yoon Na Jung
Likes: I love the story! I enjoyed every single episode of it! There was a good balance of comedy, romance and drama.
I love the title Queen In Hyun’s Man. It didn’t make much sense in the beginning but it definitely did in the end. Well done!
I love the characters and the actors who gave life to them. First I wasn’t so sure with a scholar and actress tandem but it was just well done that the chemistry between the 2 was undeniably strong since the beginning of the drama.
Lots of kissing scenes! That’s why I love Yoo In Na’s character, she would always find a way to kiss him :). So sweet!
The never ending interrogation by the actress’ assistant / manager about Gim Boong Do’s background. I just thought that was funny. They even did it again in the epilogue.
And I love the ending! Not because of the kissing scene 😉 but how they close the story without being dependent to that talisman (though it was really useful at the start). It was just fate! It was fate that she was asked to narrate that documentary that made her remember things about him and made her call him which connect her to him just before he was about to die and so on and so forth… And yeah I’ll just include the last kiss :).
Dislikes: I really like that Gisaeng who gave Gim Boong Do the talisman so I was so sad that she had to die like that. She was so heartbroken already not to have him. Aside from that, it’s hard to think of something I dislike.
Likes: Great actors especially the leads!
Chemistry between leads!
Love the epilogue!
Lots of funny moments!
Dislikes: Some annoying sidekicks.
