Spotted idols in kdrama this year…
Choi Soo Young as Cha Soo Young in Tell Me What You Saw – Girls’ Generation
She was quite good in the role and she seemed to have no qualms filming such challenging and disturbing scenes. Really far from her pretty idol image. I would even say this drama is her breakthrough into acting. She had proven herself worthy next to big stars like Jang Hyuk.
Nara as as Oh Soo Ah in Itaewon Class – Hello Venus
She was gorgeous as Soo Ah and I love her chemistry with Park Seo Joon! Her height and figure made her look great in all outfits she wore in the drama. She definitely has a long way to go in acting.
Seo Kang Joon as Im Eun Sub in I’ll Find You on a Beautiful Day – 5urprise
He never failed to amaze me! He was brilliant here as he was in Are You Human Too? His character Im Eun Sub is to fall in love with – shy, quiet, simple, a very good-looking bookworm who lives in the coutryside – just adorable. Paired with the pretty Park Min Young who he shared a great chemistry, it was no surprise that the drama was a success.
Jin Young as Han Jae Hyun in When My Love Blooms – GOT7
I went to GOT7 concert last year so seeing Jin Young in a kdrama this year was such a delight! This guy can act! He was brilliant in the role and I would even say I like the young Han Jae Hyun better. It was also great to see him sing and play the guitar in this drama. Such an idol!
Eric as Jun Ji Hoon in The Spy Who Loved Me – SHINHWA
He doesn’t really look fresh in this drama. It could be the role though. I like him competing with the likes of Im Joo Hwan, it gives him an edge. I’m slowly warming up to him and his chemistry with Yoo In Na is not that bad.
Bae Suzy as Seo Dal Mi in Start-Up – Miss A
Seo Dal Mi is my favourite Bae Suzy role ever! I love her inspiring story. Somehow the role just kind of suits Bae Suzy well. I was never a huge fan of her although all her dramas were always a success. However this one, I give her a thumbs up! She really did well.
