Likes: I rarely watch school dramas as nothing could just compare to my first love, Boys Over Flowers. But seeing how gorgeous the top leads are in this one, I went for it. Glad I did as this brought me back straight to high school days. Oh those struggles with the pimples, having real friends, divine crushes and of course solving those tough algebra problems. Lucky, I wasn’t bullied at school but bullying is real and it happens to a lot of students anywhere so I thought this drama brings hope to those who are in the same boat. I love our main girl, Im Joo Kyung’s determination and gut to survive at school. Her, striving for survival made her discover her true calling which is a talent for make up. This drama simply tells us to value what we are good at, nurture it and put it to use. Im Joo Kyung’s story is cute and truly inspiring.
Gorgeous cast. I must admit these four are drop-dead gorgeous!
Moon Ga Young as Im Joo Kyung – I already like this girl since The Great Seducer. As not-so-bright Im Joo Kyung, Moon Ga Young has proven she can take a completely different role and be awesome at it. Loved Im Joo Kyung’s dumb-like innocence, it’s so cute. The way she cried over Soo Ho and roar-teased Han Seo Jun, she was just adorable!
Cha Eun Woo as Lee Soo Ho – perfect-looking from any angle, Cha Eun Woo’s beauty is another level! As the smart, rich and handsome Lee Soo Ho, he was an odd match for our main girl but as the saying goes, opposites do attract. Soo Ho, despite his coldness managed to be super cute with his Eottoke song!
Hwang In Yup as Han Seo Joon – this guy was just cool! Cool outfits, cool voice, cool dancing! Can’t get over his Okey Dokey performance. Love you Han Seo Joon! Rawrrrr!
Park Yoo Na as Kang Soo Jin – I find this girl really beautiful like an Asian Angelina Jolie. I love her as the perfect friend turned enemy turned friend again, Kang Soo Jin.
Undeniable chemistry. Im Joo Kyung’s chemistry with both Lee Soo Ho and Han Seo Jun was great. She connected well with Soo Hoo of course but she also made some swaying moments with Han Seo Jun. It made me confused who to choose!
Eottoke Song VS. Okey Dokey! Cute and cool, both awesomely performed! But if I have to choose only one, it’s gonna be Okey Dokey Yo, is that true, Yes!
Top Bromance. How can you not love the bromance between Lee Soo Ho and Han Seo Joon? It was solid! Funniest moment was when these two got into an accident and hospitalized. Seo Jun had to help Soo Ho feed and the other way around when going to the toilet. Only true bro would do that for each other 🙂
School and uniform. Saebom school building looks like a university in Europe, it’s gorgeous! Looked it up and it’s actually Yonsei University – Sinchon Campus. It looks really beautiful especially in autumn when those ivy leaves turn red which are perfectly matching Saebom’s school uniform. Our top leads looked great in uniform, all of them!
Extra love teams. So many actually but I think these three are worth mentioning…
Im Joo Kyung’s older sister and their homeroom teacher – I love how the story gave so much importance to these two lovebirds. Two opposing personalities – the sister’s boyish character meets super gentle and romantic teacher.
Im Joo Kyung younger brother and Han Seo Joon’s sister – they are so cute too! The relentless personality of the younger brother lead to a promising budding relationship.
So Ah and Yoo Tae Hoon (Im Joo Kyung’s classmates) – they make you cringe but hey their high schoolers, they do things like that :). After all Tae Hoon was the original performer of the Eottoke Song.
OST! Bringing back memories with its youthful True Beauty OST!
Comic Shop Ending. I love how they close the story by going back to where it all started, the Prince Comics. Love the place, such a paradise for comic lovers like me.
Dislikes: Lots of cliche but this is always true to all school dramas so it’s kind of okay.
